The correct spelling for Venture Life is without the "e" on the end. It is a clever way for you to have trouble finding out about them e.g. Companies House.
ALWAYS ask a company to spell out its name, even if you think the spelling is obvious! Don't jump to conclusions.
You need a membership ID and password to get into the website to find out anything about the company. This is before you've even paid a penny.
Don't visit their website as they may be able to harvest your computer's IP address. -

Just had call from John Sterling claiming to be "Venture life" except the only (real?) venture life is a pharmaceutical company. He claims to be an alternative investment broker and wants me to put £4,000 into buying a bit of an oil well (not a share in a company, I'll actually own a bit of the well). Sounds like a scam, web site only has form to "register" i.e. to collect data, and I can't find it via google. Given all the other scams from this number it looks like a serial scammer.

I got Thomas Henderson (Charles's brother perhaps?) wanted me to invest in fancy coloured diamonds! Very aggressive salesman, didn't like me asking questions about the company and the fact that I wanted to research the facts before proceeding. If they ring again the phone is going straight down.

a guy calling himself Charles Henderson called many times, even on the same day when I told him I wasn't interested.
Then 10 minutes later another pratt called Jamie called and started being a fool on the phone. Unluckily for him, I had the CVP number of 0203-327-3849 and called them back and complained, but they won't do anything.
Shame they won't give me their address, because then I can go there as it is near where I work in the City and can go and 'educate' these guys personally!
Get this company closed down and teach these 'people' a lesson

Several phone calls from this company today. Very aggressive hard sell. All talking about green credits and how my investment will make 30 plus percent. After call I had 3 other compliance calls which seemed over kill. They said they would keep an ear marked amount of 18k for me until paper work arrived. They main senior broker was called Henry. Very confident, kept saying he wanted to be my friend and make me money. If this was the real thing surely they would not have to cold call. Apparently you are not covered by any FSA agreement so if they do a runner you are screwed

Mike replied 4/29/13, 4:49 PMI just went for a job interview with this company. Seems dodgy. It's run by a 25 year old guy called Chris Chapman who handed me a script which is just the boiler-plate way of getting people to invest. Who ever calls you up doesn't know anything. At the end of the script, before you get to talking about what your selling, you hand over to a senior broker. I literally have no idea what it is they're selling. What's messed up is this guy is 25 years old. A whole bunch of people seemed to just have been laid of by the company so they're trying to fill new places. He said that one had got so rich that he'd not been able to handle it... Hmmm. All very dodgy. Its been running for about 8 months. maybe six or seven guys and a secretary. He's supposed to be calling me back this afternoon to do a read through of the script. Maybe I'm an idiot, maybe I'm completely wrong, but I tried calling the FSA whistleblower line and didn't get through - just a lazy sounding guy's awnser phone. This company used to be called Pure Carbon with which we invested. The new company tried to get us to invest more but we have decided to withdraw our money - now we cannot get hold of them and I am very worried.

Had a call from Winston at Clear View Partnership, he provided this phone number and an address at 40 Bank Street, Canary Wharf, a very plush office block.
The web address provided though it exists is 'being updated'. Offered entry into the alternative acquisitions market, which according to Winston last year provided a 12% growth in investment. Has anyone had dealings before? Is it a case of 'if it sounds too good to be true - it probably is'.karen replied 8/20/13, 5:33 PMMy elderly mother has been cold called and persuaded to invest in carbon credits. She has parted with a considerable amount of money and they are not forthcoming when asked for the money back...surprisingly! They try and talk the talk and justify their actions which at the end of the day are immoral!

My husband has unfortunately been duped by this company - Clearview partnership. Started with hard sale on Carbon emmisions and he unfortunately has since gone on to invest large sums of money in gems and oil. Portfolio of investment was supposed to go to auction Dec 13. Suprise however - company states had to stop trading as under investigation but investment still safe!! Have since reported to police/action fraud but feer money gone ( life savings). Beware also of company of ? liquidators ( fredric and formby) who state acting on behalf of Met police. They say they have your money but need 20% upfront to release. Youl not see money again.
